Salmon with Pepita and Lime is a vibrant, healthy dish that’s keto-friendly, low in carbs, and rich in flavor. The steamed salmon stays tender and juicy while the lime and chili powder add brightness and warmth. Ingredients

  • 1 lb. salmon fillet, cut into 4 portions
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons pepitas (pumpkin seeds), ground
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Place a trivet inside a large saucepan and pour in 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Arrange the salmon portions in a heatproof dish that fits inside the saucepan.
  3. Drizzle lime juice evenly over the salmon fillets.
  4. Season with salt, black pepper, and chili powder.
  5. Sprinkle the ground pepitas on top of the fillets for a nutty crunch.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with foil and place it on the trivet in the saucepan.
  7. Cover the saucepan with a lid and steam the salmon for 15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Carefully remove and serve hot with a side of steamed veggies or cauliflower rice.
