Sausage Breakfast Casserole



Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground pork sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the cooked sausage evenly in the baking dish. Top with optional peppers and shredded cheese.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and cheese.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden on top.
  7. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
