Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets, skin removed
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 6 scallions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Place a trivet in a large saucepan and pour in 1–2 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, coconut aminos, grated ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place chopped scallions in a heatproof dish that fits inside the saucepan. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Drizzle the ginger mixture evenly over the scallions and cod fillets.
  5. Arrange the cod fillets on top of the scallions. Cover the dish tightly with foil.
  6. Place the dish on the trivet inside the saucepan, cover, and steam for 15 minutes or until the cod is opaque and flakes easily.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy the fresh, aromatic flavors.
